oh my gosh! i just came across this blog and was eager to read this post about sellwood because my husband and i visited portland (from texas) last summer and happened to go to a concert by the water in sellwood and we totally fell in love with the neighborhood and now we want to move there! lol hopefully some day!

I really enjoyed reading your article! I am moving to Portland in October, and the multitude of little neighborhoods surrounding downtown is a little daunting. Your description of each neighborhood really gave me a good sense of the personality of each community. I loved all the great photos you provided. It makes it so much easier to imagine what it’s like to live there. Much more insighful than looking at a map! I’m looking forward to reading your future articles. Thanks!

Sellwood has always been a smaller part of Portland where neighborhood people gather to spend time with their friends. It is a great place to go shopping, visit the small stores and just relax. It is a peoples’ orientated part of Portland and I hope it stays that way. The young lady was certainly a happy person.
